Looking to build on last week’s result, Wrexham travelled to Neston. From the first minute it was a battle with both sides showing they were capable of creating chances. Wrexham found their footing and started to take control of the game having multiple chances snuffed out by some good defending from Neston. Eventually this collapsed and Wrexham won their first short corner of the game. Boom. Matt Whelan finds the back of the net. Wrexham 1 - 0 Neston.

Neston looked to hit on the counter having some good chances but Wrexham’s stalwart defending held strong.

Shortly before half time Wrexham found themselves with another short corner as Neston legs began to tire. Ball played in and Gareth Bailey-Rogers hammered it home. Boom. Wrexham 2 - 0 Neston

After the break Neston started well creating some chances and testing the Wrexham defence with goalkeeper Olly Sowter making some important saves. Wrexham’s 3rd surprise surprise once again came from a short corner with debutant Johnny Miller finding the back of the net. Boom. Sirens in the distance. Wrexham 3 - 0 Neston

Neston refused to go down without a fight and after several attempts managed to force a short corner. Keeping in trend Neston were able to score in the dying minutes to earn themselves a consolation goal.
