M1s 3 - 0 Chester 4
The local derby for the Mens 1s saw a feisty game. Wrexham started very strong, dominating possession and creating chance after chance through the wingers and midfielders, unfortunately none of these chances were to come to anything. Chester began to find some chances towards the end of the first half but thanks to some excellent defending goalkeeper Olly did not have to face a shot.
Half time 0-0
After an inspiring team talk which consisted of Dan Thomas telling the team to use words instead of noises, Wrexham again picked up the pressure. After an undeserved green card for winger Nathan Samuels, Wrexham managed to find a foot in the D, the following short corner resulted in the ball being raised into the air and Damon Smith connecting for his first goal of the season. Wrexham again on the attack, Harry Tourret launches a perfect ball into the D for Gaz Roberts to place into the corner of the goal. Wrexham, wanting to add more to the tally found another attack through Nathan Samuels into Gaz Roberts and across to Jonny Miller at the back post for his 13th goal this season. Chester, not wanting to finish goalless managed to get a short corner on the final whistle but captain Tom Csizmadia had something to say about that, launching the ball into the stands with an excellent clearance to finish the game.
