Great comeback to wil away from home

Bouyed by last week's emphatic victory over Neston 4's , Wrexham travelled to Denbigh full of high hopes and a changed team.
Phoebe and Georgia were welcome newcomers to Wrexham 2s squad.Immediately linking well with Grace, who worked tirelessly today,in the opening few minutes to win a short corner which the away team failed to convert.
Gemma P working hard down the left, looking to to create an early goal, continued to cover the pitch throughout the match.
Wrexham struggled to find any fluency in the opening 10 minutes which was exploited by some concise passing from Denbigh and Wrexham conceding a goal.1-0.Denbigh continued to press for their 2nd ,Wrexham's defence holding just about with some strong tackling from Grita,Beth and Meg. The midfield repeatedly needing to track back to support as Denbigh flooded Wrexham's final 3rd,winning a short corner in 25th minute which the home team thankfully failed to take advantage of. Wrexham's nerves seemed to settle as the 1st half proceeded. The 28th minute saw busy Ffi drive the ball into Denbigh's D,skillfully collected by debutant Phoebe who deftly dodged the home teams defenders and pushed the ball past their keeper for Wrexham's equaliser.1-1
On the 30th minute ,Denbigh forced a good save from Laila mainainting Wrexham's momentum.Phoebe again looking lively, collected the ball from the half way line and drove hard to Denbigh's D, delicately side stepping the last defender before striking the ball between the keeper's pads and into goal, 1 -2 at the half time break.
The 2nd half got under way with Denbigh again pressuring the visitors looking for a leveller, another short corner was squandered and a great save from Laila, having to reach to her left from a well placed shot kept Wrexham ahead. The visitors then started to find their form again midway through the 2nd half and Wrexham needed to battle.Good work again today from the youngsters Hattie and Bethan, who tried hard to make an impact during their spells on the pitch in what was a very physical match in parts. Some clever switches of play from the back and decisive runs from the forwards and midfield saw Wrexham edging back into the game and awarded 3 short corners in quick succession but they failed to capitalise from set play today.
9 mins from the end saw Phoebe 's excellent hatrick completed.Lovely play from Abbie in the middle of the pitch, dribbled past a Denbigh defender to the edge of the D before finding Phoebe well placed on the right who fired past the keeper.1-3
The final phase of the 2nd half was not for the faint hearted,Denbigh pushed hard, eventually firing a blistering shot into the bottom left hand corner leaving Laila no chance with only a few minutes remaining 2-3. The visitor's managed to contain the opposition in the nerve jangling closing period until the welcome final whistle came... eventually.
Wrexham failed to show their true ability today but fought hard and maintained their composure well against tricky.
Next Saturday they play Rhyl at home at 12 noon
