With the sun out, today was a North Wales clash with Wrexham vs Northop Hall.
Wrexham held most of the possession in the first half with some great controlling play from Eimear Flanagan and Rach Dathan in the centre of the pitch. Wrexham had plenty of chances on goal and Zoe Kershaw scored the first goal with a rebound off the Northop keeper.
Wrexham won a short corner soon after and Jo Campbell deflected the ball onto the backboard.
Half time 2-0 to Wrexham.
The second half had a few lucky breaks from Northop Hall leading to short corner goal with a very lucky deflection off the back post for Northop.
Wrexham switched on and Shiv Henn and Lianne Preston held the defence line for the remainder of the game. Multiple chances on goal for Wrexham came from Laudie Royle and Eimear Flanagan but to no avail until Helen Bainbridge found the backboard with a deflection.
The final Wrexham goal came with great passing up the pitch to Helen Roberts who gave a fantastic pass and an amazing first touch strike from Laudie Royle found the back of the net.
An amazing show of teamwork from Wrexham and the first win of the season!
