After a few weeks of postponed games, Wrexham were up against Didsbury at the Armitage Centre. The first half was end to end action with great attacking runs from both teams. However, Wrexham won the first few short corners of the game with Helen Roberts scoring a deflection following a strike from Rach Dathan.
Minutes later, Wrexham were back in Didsbury’s D scoring the second goal with a fantastic chip over the keeper into the side net by Emily Preston.
Half time 2-0 to Wrexham.
The second half was a lot tougher with the lack of subs starting to show on the Wrexham side. The majority of play occurred in Wrexham’s half with great defence from Li Preston, Amy Jones, and Claire Harvey. However, Meg Jones kept them in the game making a multitude of saves to keep Wrexham ahead.
After an onslaught of short corners from Didsbury, the final whistle blew and Wrexham could breathe a sigh of relief with 3 more points.
