The sun came out for Wrexham’s home game against Brooklands this week.
The game started with strong attacks from both sides with Wrexham’s forwards having a few chances on goal. The counterattack from Brooklands was kept out by Amy Jones, Del Sharples, and Claire Harvey.
Wrexham’s own counter attack led to a pass from Helen Roberts to Poppy Horsley on the back post.
Wrexham conceded a few short corners but the ball was kept out of the goal by Meg Jones, Raz Whittaker, and Claire Harvey.
Another counterattack from Laudie Royle won Wrexham a short corner with Helen Bainbridge scoring the slip.
A third goal came from a set of passes between Poppy Horsley and Emily Daglidar with Emily getting the last touch. Another short corner from Wrexham had Laudie Royle scoring a rocket goal from the left slip.
Half time 4-0 Wrexham
The second half was a battle with end to end action with multiple short corners for both sides. Wrexham scored a fifth goal from a short corner with Rach Dathan placing a perfect wide shot for Poppy Horsley to get the deflection.
A fantastic game from Wrexham with lots of great passing and teamwork.
