A sunny game away at Liverpool Sefton started with a goal for Wrexham in the first 5 minutes with great passing between Helen Bainbridge and Helen Roberts, leading to a slip to Rach Dathan scoring the first goal.
Liverpool Sefton fought back hard, winning numerous short corners against Wrexham which were well kept out by the defensive line and Meg Jones until a high ball led to an unfortunate own goal from Amy Jones.
Another Sefton short corner netted Sefton their second goal.
Wrexham had a few chances with good interceptions from Laudie Royle and skills from Zoe Kershaw but no further goals came in the first half.

The second half was relentless from Sefton with multiple short corners and shots on goal but it was kept out by the whole of Wrexham defending and marking tightly.
Sefton’s third goal came from another short corner strike. A great on the line save from Amy Jones kept Sefton from scoring a fourth goal.
