W1s 3-0 Urmston 1 (a)
Wrexham travelled to Urmston for this week’s game. It started with a strong attack from Wrexham with good passing between Amy Jones, Laudie Royle, Rach Dathan, all the way to Zoe Kershaw up front. Unfortunately good defending from Urmston kept the ball away from the goal.
However, Wrexham immediately won the ball back and Emily Preston got the last touch in a scrap of play on the goal line, scoring Wrexham’s first goal. Urmston fought back winning multiple short corners in a row but it was cleared out by the Wrexham defence.
Wrexham had many opportunities for more goals but it was repelled by Urmston’s defence.

Half time 1-0 Wrexham

The second half saw Wrexham holding a lot of the possession. A transfer across the defence carried the ball up the line to the forwards resulting a beautiful triangle play from Emily Dagliar to Poppy Horsley then Helen Bainbridge finished the play with a crashing shot into the bottom corner. Wrexham carried on with the great teamwork and passing resulting in a third goal in the top of the net from Rach Dathan.
Urmston won a few short corners but fast running out from Amy Jones and Ella Horsley kept the ball away from the goal.

Final score: 3-0 Wrexham

A really solid result for Wrexham showing great teamwork and determination.
