W1s 1-6 University of Liverpool 1
Wrexham L1s were visited by the University of Liverpool this week. Having previously been a national premier team, Liverpool were cool and clinical with their passing scoring a goal within the first 5 minutes. Wrexham were quick to respond with a goal of their own from Poppy Horsley.
The remainder of the half was a solid defensive game for Wrexham as Liverpool were very well drilled with a strong forward line. Shots on goal were kept out by the defence of Raz Whittaker, Rach Warrenger, Li Preston and Meg Jones in goal but the first half finished 3-1.
Half time: 3-1 University of Liverpool
The second half was another defensive battle for Wrexham. Liverpool kept most of the play in Wrexham’s half but the middle was controlled well by Rach Dathan and Rhi Robson.
Unfortunately Liverpool scored another 3 goals with well practiced post play.
Final score: 6-1 University of Liverpool
Player of the match: Meg Jones
