Club Hoci Eirias Development 2-3 MDVLP
Welcome to ninth game of the season against eiras devs away on a lovely pitch with only 9 men we borrowed two from eiras to make it an even game. Wrexham had a new arrival today with the experience of Mr Read making his first dev appearance this season. With the team warmed up and positions sorted the game started with Eiras pushing the ball back and soon went on the attack driving the ball around the d and gaining a few short corners in the process but the defence of Rich and Keith kept them away. As the game went on Eiras got on the scoresheet with their player driving up through the midfield into the d and got his shot off to go past Charlie making it 1-0. Wrexham restarted the game with some of their own attacking with Llion and Neil getting down the wing into Freddie who got a good shot for only to go wide with the game moving along Eiras had a lot of the ball but again Olly and rich kept them at bay but again Eiras attacked which resulted in a penalty flick due to rich stopping it on the line with his feet ? but up stepped Eirias player and a brilliant stop from Charlie keeping it 1-0. The resulting 16 the ball was played into llion who passed it into Freddie who turned got his shot off only for the GK to save it and the ball fell behind the GK and there was Simon to tap it home making it 1-1 half-time.

So after a good team talk and positive first half Wrexham started the second with some excellent midfield play to get the ball into Simon who just couldn’t get a good shot off. The time ticked Eirias retook the lead with a short corner and some good passing in the d for them to put it in making it 2.1 to them.

Wrexham restarted the game and looked to get back into passing the ball around the defence into Neil who made a lovely run down the wing cut inside then put the ball into the goal only for the umpire to blow it for a short for Wrexham due to a push in the d on Neil. From the short the ball was played into rich who passed it to Freddie got a shot off only for the player on the line to push it away. Wrexham finally got their equaliser again some solid defending in back from Olly J and Rich into Llion who played it into Freddie down the wing going pass a few players knocking it into Simon’s path who slotted it under the GK making 2-2 game on! With a good 20mins on the clock Eiras started to get some attacking of their own but Llion and Gaz were great in midfield stopping them. But this time llion got a green for too many stick tackles 2min in the sin bin. Wrexham started their own counter attacks which paid off with a lovely hit from half way straight into Simons path one touch straight thou the GKs legs making it his first official hat-trick and 3-2 to Wrexham but that wasn’t the end of the drama. Neil got a green card for bumping a player of the ball. Then in the final minutes Eiras has a short corner during which full time whistle went but all the lads managed to kept it out, there was a pause with the umpire who thankfully signalled a 16 game over a lovely 3-2 away for Wrexham.

Captains view it was a brilliant team effort from the GK to strikers we worked hard never let our heads down so we kept on going special mention to rich for his experience though out the game it help us all a lot again well done lads?????????
