MDVLP 1-0 Oxton Development
Welcome to our next game this time it’s away game against Oxton devs with only 8 players available Wrexham borrowed three of Oxton to make it an even game.
With Wrexham starting the game it was a friendly pass to oxton. With their first attack oxton manage to get a long corner but an excellent save by Charlie Dathan kept them out. Wrexham restarted the game with a lovely move from Alex Devereau to Keith Polden into Olly James who drove down the wing passed into Simon got a shot off but saved by the GK. The game continued with both teams having chances through out the first half but both GKs saving well so half-time 0-0.
After a good team talk and Oxton swapping players, Oxton began the second half with a pass to Wrexham. Wrex began from the back with Alex passing into Neil Oldham. He hit the ball up the wing into Freddie who drove into the Oxton d and gained a short corner. Neil injected into Simon, who stopped it nicely and the borrowed Oxton player had a lovely strike only for it to hit the post, Freddie just couldn’t get the rebound. Wrexham continued the pressure throuout the game with the midfield combining well, delivering balls onto the d with Simon and Feeddie putting chances just wide. Then with the umpire signalling 1 minute, Wrexham pressed with the ball being played out from the back into the midfield into Neil’s path who crossed it into the d and the was super striker Samuels sweeping it home into the bottom corner making 1-0 Wrexham. Oxton restarted the game and the umpires whistle went resulting in an excellent 1-0 win for the Wrexham development team.
